Dr. Dewayne McCamish completed his undergraduate studies at Middle Tennessee State University before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery and his Master’s Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Tennessee at Memphis College of Dentistry. Dr. McCamish is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is past president of the Southern Association of Orthodontists, Tennessee Association of Orthodontists, the University of Tennessee Orthodontic Alumni Association, Lookout Dental Study Club, and the Chattanooga Area Dental Society. He is the immediate past President of the American Association Orthodontists and is currently serving as the interim executive director of the AAO.

Aside from his professional accolades, Dr. McCamish has also earned recognition as a gifted athlete: He has been inducted into both the Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame and the Tennessee Tennis Hall of Fame. He played four years of football at MTSU during which time he was awarded the MTSU Sports Scholastic Athlete of the Year Award. He also enjoys golf, snow skiing and yoga. He and Marilyn have three children and reside in Signal Mountain, TN.
